Welcome to the Fergus Falls Public Schools Special Education Department website. I'm Nancy Reard, and I'm thrilled to introduce myself as the Director of Special Education. My journey with the Fergus Falls Public Schools began nearly 30 years ago as a special education teacher. Since 1995, I have had the great privilege of working closely with students and families in Fergus Falls. I have been dedicated to educating and nurturing the most amazing young children, guiding them through their academic and personal growth. My experience has reinforced the importance of community and resilience in the educational process. Now, as the Director of Special Education, I am deeply committed to building on our district's commitment to excellence, ensuring every student reaches their full potential.

Our primary goal is to provide high-quality programs that build on the unique strengths while addressing the needs of each individual student. We believe in fostering an inclusive environment where every child can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
